As Phyllis' cousin, I was always in awe of her. I remember one visit to the farm when Phyllis gathered Donnie and me as pupils in her upstairs "classroom." Whether it was achieving bicycle balance or declining Latin nouns, Phyllis was my mentor. We will all miss her.
Our sympathies to the Campbell and McSherry families. Cardiac research points out that couples who are close to one another sometimes pass away within days of each other. Phyllis and Leo support thst research.
Mrs. McSherry (I respected her as a teacher so much, I couldn't call her Phyllis) was one of the most sincere and genuinely nicest person I have ever known. She was quiet and unassuming, and a fabulous teacher. Those who were in her classes will remember these qualities in her.
