R. DON LORENZ
WAUPACA, WI
Age 70 – died on Saturday, July 7, 2007 in Waupaca, WI. He was born on February 17, 1937 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Robert H. and Myra (Rowland) Lorenz. He married Karen Eisch on July 19, 1958 in Appleton, WI.
Don attended Northwestern University and graduated from Lawrence University in 1959. He began his career with E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. in Wilmington, Delaware in 1960. In 1982, he started Lorchem Corporation.
For the last 16 years Don & Karen lived in Waupaca, WI on the Chain of Lakes where he enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. Prior to moving to Waupaca, WI the family resided in Cary, IL for 22 years.
Don is survived by his wife, Karen and their three sons: Steve (Nanette) Lorenz and their children, Kiley and Matthew, Dave Lorenz and Kim Lorenz, and their children, Nicolas and Noelle, and Mike (Jean) Lorenz. He is further survived by a sister: Jackie Jaeger, other relatives, and many, many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of His Life will be held at the A. J. Holly Funeral Home at 526 S. Main St. in Waupaca, WI on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 2:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family at the Holly Funeral Home (715-258-4020) on Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in the name of R. Don Lorenz.
