Ramona Jensen's Obituary
Ramona Lydia Emelia (Grunwald) Jensen passed away on September 1, 2013 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, Wisconsin surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 4, 1912 in the Town of Dayton, Waupaca County, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Emelia (Bucholtz) Grunwald. Ramona married Harlan Jensen on August 4, 1934 in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1992. Ramona was a homemaker and farmer's wife most of her life. The later years she worked at A.E. Moore until retirement. She spent many hours crocheting over 200 afghans. She loved her gardens (vegetables and flowers). She lived with her daughter for 14 years. She spent the last 6 years at Bethany Home in Waupaca, She was a member of Parfreyville United Methodist Church. Ramona is survived by her daughter, Connie (Paul) Radley of Waupaca, two daughters-in-law: Jean Jensen and Connie Jensen both of Waupaca, grandchildren: Michael (Joni) Radley, Jennifer (Michael) Grant, Lynne (Ronald) Minton, Nancy (David) Hirte, Theresa Jensen, Harlan (Andrea) Jensen III, James (Lynn) Jensen, Lisa (Gordon) Woodward-Puls, Jody (David) Hall, and Shelley (Richard) Vaughn, 23 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan, her parents, William and Emelia Grunwald, in-laws, Hans C. and Winnie Jensen, sons: Harland C. (Tick) Jensen, Larry Jensen and infant Robert Jensen, 6 brothers: Richard, Arnold, Emil, Herbert, Paul and Clarence Grunwald and 6 sisters: Rosa Grunwald, Edna Kienert, Alma Johanknecht, Elvira Mitzenheim, Ella Danielson and Freda Grunwald, granddaughter: Becky (Jensen) Taggart, great grandson: Christopher Minton, Hirte twin great grandsons, and a great great granddaughter. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at the Parfreyville United Methodist Church of Waupaca, Wisconsin. Reverend Robert Blackburn will officiate. Friends and family may visit at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery in Waupaca. Memorials can be directed to the Parfreyville United Methodist Church or Bethany Home in memory of Ramona Jensen. The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Home for all the wonderful care that was given to Ramona, her doctor, Chas. Rathjen, all the pastors that she had on Sundays and Wednesdays and Pastor Robert Blackburn from Parfreyville United Methodist Church for all your visits.
