Raphael "Ralph" D. Glodowski's Obituary
Raphael “Ralph” D. Glodowski, age 99 of Amherst, WI passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Stevens Point Health Services. Ralph was born on June 8, 1925; son of the late Bernard and Laura (Konkol) Glodowski. Born and raised on the family farm, attending school at Fancher and then working on the farm, Ralph was a hard worker. He then drove milk truck and then drove semi-truck for 35 years for CW transport, he drove three million miles with no accidents.
Ralph married Belvine Zdroik on August 31, 1957 in Custer, WI. They owned and ran the Tomorrow River Supper Club and Motel for 45 years. They were blessed with three children; Ken (Kathy) Glodowski, Bob (Sue) Glodowski, Sherri (Boyd) Trachsel. Ralph is further survived by his wife; Belvine, grandchildren; Mike (fiancé Nicki) Glodowski, Claire (Chris) Karl, Lindsay (Kevin) Wroblewski, Landon (Dustin Kleppe) Glodowski, great-grandsons; Austin and Blake, sister; Lorraine Klinkert, sister-in-law, LaVon Glodowski. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Norbert Glodowski and Bert (Millie) Glodowski Jr.
Ralph enjoyed cheering on his softball team, the Brewers and the Packers along with his children and grandchildren sports. He loved his polkas and attending the polka dances and polish weddings. He was an avid animal lover from the animals on the farm growing up to the dogs including eight St. Bernards that were famous at the Supper Club to his current best friend Tony his cat. He enjoyed traveling with his wife all over the world.
Ralph was a member of the Tomorrow River Lions Club and was an usher at St. James Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Amherst. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until time of Mass at the Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
