Ray M. Marcom's Obituary
Mr. Ray M. Marcom, age 88, Waupaca, Wisconsin , passed away Sunday, October 30th, 2005 at Weyauwega Health Care Center, Weyauwega, Wisconsin. Ray was born in Granite, Oklahoma on September 1, 1917, he was the son of the late Harris and Grace (Maynard) Marcom. On Sept 1, 1979 he married Barbara (Kooyenga)-Tanis in Waupaca. Ray moved to Waupaca in 1977 from Santa Barbara California, where he was a Manager of Foremost Dairy and manager in the Montgomery Ward Furniture Department. Ray was the owner of Ray's Second Chance in Waupaca for 15 years. He enjoyed refinishing furniture and spending time with his family. He is survived by Wife: Barbara Marcom, Waupaca. Children: Robert (Margaret) Marcom, Waupaca; Ruth McCormick, Mission Viego, CA; Richard (Marsha) Marcom, Atlanta, GA. Three Step-Children: Lynn (Daniel) Nicewander, Maple Grove, MN; Timothy (Brigitte) Tanis, Pettstadt Germany; Karin (Chris) Frank, Scottsdale, AZ. Grandchildren: Fourteen; Great Grandchildren: Nineteen; Sister: D'Wanna Valsecchi, Santa Barbara, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and a sister. Funeral Service will be held at Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, Wisconsin at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 3rd, with Reverend Leon Leeds officiating. Interment Lakeside Memorial Park Waupaca, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Wednesday 5-7 P.M. at Holly Funeral Home.
