RAYMOND A. KRAFT
NEW LONDON, WI. (FORMERLY OF WAUPACA AND AMHERST, WI) Age 87 – died on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the Franciscan Care Center in Appleton, WI. He was born on June 10, 1917 in Goodrich, ND, a son of the late Daniel and Magdalena (Pfaff) Kraft. He married Lillian I. Schultz on September 7, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI. She preceded him in death on October 16, 1995. Raymond is survived by three children: Charlene Engel of New London, WI, James Kraft of Wausau, WI, and Rhonda (Dennis) Kraft-Laszewski of Stevens Point, WI, six grandchildren: David (Cindy) Engel, Seth (Joann) Engel, Rebecca Engel, Joshua Engel, Henry Laszewski, and Ray Laszewski, four great grandchildren: Brandon Engel, Jerad Engel, Dehlia Engel, and Allura Engel, and a sister: Elsie (Chuck) Lorenz of Great Falls, MT. Raymond and Lillian had also been foster parents to more than 50 children. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife: Lillian, a granddaughter: Sara Engel, his parents, and a brother: Melvin Kraft. He was a member of the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church of Waupaca and was a past member of the Board of Elders of the church. He had been employed for the Mueller Pipeline Co. of New Berlin, WI for many years, retiring as a foreman. He was a member of labor union local #113 of Milwaukee, WI. He was also a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps Chapter #54 of Waupaca, WI. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church of Waupaca, WI, with the Reverend Jeffrey Holtan, officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery in Waupaca. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, and at the church on Thursday morning, one hour prior to the time of the funeral service. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
