Richard “Dick” Joseph Wanty, age 82, of Waupaca passed away peacefully at his home on October 28th, 2017. Dick was born in the Town of Lanark in Portage County, Wisconsin on September 1, 1935, to Alfred C. and Edna M. (Boushley) W Read Obituary

I am sad to hear of Dick's passing. Dick was a
friend of mine for 50 years. We worked on his
jobs along with brother Ray
so many years ago as my Dad and myself were electricians. There
were no days when Dick was not very nice and
helpful.
Dick(wheels) was a really good softball player. I pitched (fast pitch)
against him many times and almost never got the darn guy out.
Pretty sure he went all around the bases on a bunt on one of my
pitches. Alfred (Dick's father was the manager way back) So
many great memories. I will never forget.
We have lost one of the really good guys.
I will miss Dick.

We were fortunate to have Dick build our house. Dick was not only a terrific home builder, he was a great guy,....always pleasant to deal with, always listening to whatever we wanted, a real gentleman. We loved the house, we loved getting to know him.
