Richard E.E. Gerlach's Obituary
Richard E.E. Gerlach, age 96, of King, WI, formerly of Appleton, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born May 18, 1927 in Sheboygan, WI; son of Earnest and Anna (Seidal) Gerlach. Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from February 6, 1945 until he was honorably discharged on February 5, 1949. He will be dearly missed by the entire Bumpus family, especially Deborah Bumpus and Tyler Bumpus, of Appleton.
A Memorial Graveside Service for Richard will be on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI where full military honors will be performed. Chaplain Ben Schroeder will officiate. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
