Richard A. Pynenberg's Obituary
Richard "Rick" A. Pynenberg, age 65, of Manawa, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Rick was born on September 24, 1959 in Kaukauna, WI. son of Norbert" Honky" and Rosalie (Taggart) Pynenberg. He attended Little Wolf High School. Rick married Rolshell "Rocci" (Zimmerman) on May 30, 1984 in Waupaca, WI. They had been married for 40 years. Rick was a welder for over 25 years. He was an honest man, who was not afraid to say the truth. Fishing and camping were some of his favorite hobbies. He enjoyed supervising and helping his sons-in-law and friends in building projects. His stories were endless and would always get a laugh out of anyone. In his younger years he lived to play golf, ride bike around town, playing basketball with his daughters and neighborhood kids and having porch gatherings where he sat and told his stories.
Rick is survived by his wife Rocci of Manawa, WI; his daughters, April Zimmerman of Manawa, WI, Heather Pynenberg of Waupaca, WI, and Nicole (Chad) Logan of Waupaca, WI; his grandchildren Domonick Sprenger, Gage Koch, Ali Pynenberg, Nadia Linberg, and Meah Logan; his great granddaughter Nova Koch; his sisters Leda Hopfensperger of New London, WI, and Jenny Becker of Oshkosh, WI; his brothers Ed (Lisa) Pynenberg of Manawa, WI, and Norbert (Tuck) Pynenberg of New London, WI; special friends Scotty S. and Eric L., along with many more family and friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Norbert and Rosalie, his brothers John "Jack" and Earl, and granddaughter Skylar Linberg; father-in-law and mother-in-law Fritz and Carol Zimmerman; and brothers-in-law Gary Hopfensperger and Carl Becker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 1, 2025 from 2pm until 6pm at Steve and Michelle's Midtown in Manawa, WI. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
