Richard "Dick" Warrick's Obituary
Richard “Dick” Warrick, 92, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Dick was born in Clarinda, Iowa, to Gerald and Myra Warrick on July 27, 1932. He went to school in Amity, Oregon, where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Wilcox, on June 11, 1953.
Dick graduated from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, in 1960 with a degree in physics after serving in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. He then worked for Weyerhaeuser Paper Company as a research physicist and laboratory manager for 36 years.
When Dick’s family was young, he spent much of his free time as a Boy Scout leader, coaching youth sports and camping. He enjoyed spending time with his family, travel, exploring battlefields, golf and playing pool. Dick and Carolyn took their children and their families on many trips around the country in their fifth wheel.
Dick is survived by his wife of 72 years, his son, Bruce (Katherine), his daughters, Diana (Doug) Gabbert and Peggy Puckett. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ben (Kayleigh) Gabbert, Drew (Jeanne) Gabbert, Jennifer (Aaron) Warrick, Joy (Bram) Hoss, Brad (Sarah) Warrick, Alex (Jessica) Puckett, Marie Puckett, William Puckett, and many great grandchildren, one brother Ron Warrick and one sister Karen (Don) Milks and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held On Saturday July 26, 2025 at 11 A.M. at Park Vista.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobility for Veterans in Waupaca.
