Richard L. Zielinski

age 65 – died on Friday, November 13, 2009 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, WI. He was born on August 2, 1944 in Stevens Point, WI, the son of Henry and Florence (Peterson) Zielinski. He married Doreen A. Kubacki on April 16, 1973 in Stevens Point, WI.
Richard is survived by his wife, Doreen, children; Denise (Bob) Upton of Bancroft, Deborah (Tom) Allen of Wild Rose, Donna (Brian) Berry of Plover, David (Karin) Rutz of Amherst, and Henry “Andy” Zielinski of Stevens Point. He is further survived by nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister; Shirley (Harry) Reed of Racine. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother; John Domzalski.
Richard had been employed as a maintenance worker for the Almond Public School System for many years. Prior to working in the Almond School System, Richard had worked for the Worzalla Publishing Company in Stevens Point for many years. He had served in the Army National Guard for six years during the Viet Nam War.
Per Richard’s wishes, a private memorial service was held at the Almond United Methodist Church in Almond, WI with the Reverend David Leistra, officiating. The Hardell-Holly Funeral Home of Almond assisted the family with arrangements.
