Rita M. Elkins' Obituary
Rita M. Elkins, age 87, formerly of Amherst, WI, passed away on Monday January 18, 2021 at Thedacare Medical Center in Shawano, WI. She was born on October 11, 1933 in Pontiac, IL, daughter of Arnold and Mildred (Berry) Lloyd. On October 11, 1952 Rita married Gayhard Elkins in the Town of Buena Vista, Portage County, WI. She will be dearly missed by all.
Rita is survived by her children, David (Sharon) Elkins of Omaha, NE and Donna (Joseph) Turrubiates of Waupaca, WI; daughter-in-law, Shelly Stone; six grandchildren, Shawn (Chris) Elkins, Joey (Tara) Turrubiates, Shane (Leesa) Elkins, Tracy (Jeremy) Schoenecker, and Jaci (Matt) Stone; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one sister, Lou Kay Winger; one brother, Richard Lloyd; one brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Mildred Lloyd; her husband, Gayhard Elkins; her son, Randy Stone; one grandson, Ty Turrubiates; three brothers Keith, Dean and Dale Lloyd; one sister, Geraldine Glisczinski; five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
