Robert "Bob" J. Glisczinski's Obituary
Robert “Bob” J. Glisczinski, age 82 of Amherst, WI passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Bob was born on January 2, 1944; son of the late Harry and Genevieve (Trzebiatowski) Glisczinski in Stevens Point, WI. On April 20, 1963; Bob married Therese Kruzicki at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, WI. She preceded Bob in death on April 11, 2024.
Known as Bobby G. to colleagues, he was a mentor to many in multiple significant ways. As a member of UA local 778 he served multiple terms as an Executive Board member. Over his career, both in UA local 778 and after consolidation into UA local 434, he often served on projects throughout central Wisconsin as a foreman, area foreman, general foreman, or piping superintendent. Even after retirement he continued to mentor others in the trades about finding work/life balance. He served his religious community as a member of the Alter Rosary Society and a Lay Minister, Lector and CCD teacher at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel, Fancher. He loved to fish, ice fish and deer hunt, a passion he passed on to his kids, grandkids and step-grandkids. His quick wit, sense of humor, love of sports and family will be missed.
Bob is survived by his children Randall (Denise) Glisczinski of Amherst; Robert M. (Imelda) Glisczinski of Amherst; Mary (Paul) Ehr of New Munster; Traci (fiancé James Cole) Parrott of Amherst; grandchildren Morgan (Rush) Hickethier, Becca Glisczinski, Jackson Glisczinski, Benjamin Ehr, Gerald Ehr, Robert Ehr, Daniel Ehr, Matthew Ehr; great-grandchild Harper Hickethier; step-grandchildren Adam (Isabel) Parrott, Samuel (Nicole) Parrott, Julia Peterson; step-great grandchildren Aria Parrott, Zakkary Robbins, Piper Peterson, Audrey Parrott, Benjamin Parrott; siblings, Patricia (Anton) Bronk, Harry Jr. (Lorriane) Glisczinski, Theresa Glisczinski, Romaine (Dan) Zelewski, Barbara (Frank) Cole; also many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Therese, infant son David, grandson Matthew Busse.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Woodlands Church in Plover. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service at the Church. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Robert Glisczinski's name. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
