Robert B. Briskie's Obituary
Robert Basil Briskie passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, May 28th. He is lovingly missed by his wife, Barbara of 43 years, sons Basil of Oshkosh, Brian (Liza) of Pine River and daughter Wendy of Oshkosh. Bob was blessed with 6 grandchildren - Dylan, Chloe, Aiden, Dominick, Trevor and Jeremiah Robert who was born three days after his death.
He is further survived by his brother James (Jean) of Fond Du Lac and sisters Sharon (John) Sina of Brandon and Kathleen (Gerard) Garcia of Edison, NJ along with his in-laws - Eugene and Mary Vetrone of Camden, TN; Eugene (Lynda), Redgranite, WI; Nancy (John) Schultz, Milton, WI; David, Pine River, WI; Rosemary (Dave), Paris, TN; Lawrance (Paula), Camden, TN and Susan (Bob), Spokane, WA along with their families. Also a very special family friend, Craig Wyssbrod. He was preceded in death by his parents - Basil and Mabel Briskie and niece Michele Sina.
Bob was the first baby boy born at Berlin Memorial Hospital on January 3, 1953. He always said he was polite and let the girl go ahead of him! He attended St Michael's Catholic School and graduated from Berlin High School in 1971 along with his high school love who he married on January 29, 1972. Bob joined the Army in December, 1972 and was stationed in Korea specializing in NIKE missiles. He became an excellent and well respected tractor mechanic working at Huser Implement on top the hill in Berlin, eventually having his own business for many years.
Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life being held on Wednesday, June 24th at 1:00 pm at his shop. Please dress as if you were coming to see him at his shop - jeans very appropriate!
