Robert R. Carey
Loveland, CO (formerly of Amherst, WI)
Age 40 – died very unexpectedly on July 14, 2010 in Loveland, CO. He was born on July 17, 1969 in Stevens Point, the son of Dale and Carol (Trzebiatowski) Carey.
Robert is survived by his son, Chase Dale Carey, his mother and step-father; Carol and Robert Lea, Sr of Amherst, brothers; Reynold (Tina) Carey of Lafayette, TN and their children, Cory Case and Russel Carey, Randall (Tracy) Carey of Amherst and their children, Joshua Carey-Brown, Hannah Carey-Brown, Grace Walkoe, Margaret Walkoe, and Ryan Walkoe, and Robert (Shawn) Lea, Jr of Amherst Jct. and their children, Nicholas Lea, Jared Lea, and Eden Lea. Robert is further survived by uncles; Richard (Melba) Carey of Amherst, Wayne (Linda) Carey of Amherst and their children, Beth (Wayne) Borgan, Brett Carey, and Bonnie (Mike) Warzynski, Robert (Sandy) Trzebiatowski of Stevens Point and their children, Laurie, Brian, and Kristen Trzebiatowski, and Lisa (Ron) Peskie, Al (Gayle) Trzebiatowski of Iola and their children, Jerold (Karen) Trzebiatowski and Jodi (Scott) Parrish, his aunt; Juanita (Linden) Nott of New Berlin and their children, Greg Martin, David Martin, Cheryl Olson, and Timothy Nott, step-uncles; William (Deanna) Lea, Gary (Lynda) Lea, and Terry Lea, and a step-aunt; Susan (Jon) Krogwold. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Carey, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Robert was a 1988 graduate of Amherst High School. He enjoyed sports and had earned 2nd place in wrestling at the State tournament. He also enjoyed playing football. He loved the outdoors and the beauty that Colorado had to offer in the Rocky Mountains. He loved big game hunting and had bagged mule deer, elk, and white tail deer. He had also bagged caribou in Alaska. While living in Loveland Robert was employed as a machinist.
A memorial service will be held at the Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst, WI on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 7:00 PM, with Reverend Gretchen Anderson, officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst. A visitation will be held at the Peace Lutheran Church on Thursday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to create a college fund for Chase Carey, and can be directed to: Chase Carey c/o International Bank of Amherst, P.O. Box 39, Amherst, WI 54406.
