Robert (Col. Bob) Mader's Obituary
Robert J. (Col. Bob) Mader, age 64, of Scandinavia, WI., passed away on Sunday, May 7th, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Green Bay, WI. on June 22, 1941, a son of the late George and Olive (Klassen) Mader. On August 18, 1995 he married Violet Jorgensen in Waupaca. Robert served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1958 until 1962. He was owner of a natural/organic business with products for man, animal, plant and soil, mainly dealing with the Amish community. He also was an auctioneer since 1978, specializing in Amish furniture and quilt auctions. He was months away from completing a naturopathic degree. He is survived by Wife Violet Mader, Scandinavia, WI; Children: Renee (Juan) Ascencio, Santa Ana, CA; Randy (Joan) Mader, Appleton, WI; Ron Mader, Appleton, WI; Ryan (Charis) Mader, Appleton, WI; Robert Joseph Mader II, Two Rivers, WI; Rebecca Mader, Reedsville, WI; Grandchildren: Kai and Kaitlin Ascencio, Santa Ana, CA; Adam, Aaron, Joshua and Olivia Mader, Appleton, WI; Sisters and Brothers: Ethel Kruse, Kaukauna, WI; Adrian (Audrey) Mader, Sherwood, WI; Delores (Lori) (Leonard) Schmidt, Kaukauna, WI; George (Eleanor) Mader, Stockbridge, WI; Noretta (Ronald) Bastian, Reedsville, WI; Deanna (Max) Wolf, Neenah, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gerald Mader and two sisters, Marian Beach and Virginia Schmidt. Funeral Services will be held at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 12th, with Reverend Morgan Barclay officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11 from 4 until 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Robert J. Mader.
