Robert "Bob" Elandt's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Curtis Elandt, age 60, went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 9, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on June 16, 1964 in Waupaca, WI to the late Arlin and Shirley Elandt. On October 26, 1991, he married the love of his life, Martha R. Hemling.
Bob spent much of his life devoted to dairy farming. In the years prior to his brain tumor diagnosis in 1993, he loved singing, performing in school musicals, and serenading his wife. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones, sharing stories, playing cribbage and sheepshead, watching movies starring Bruce Willis or Adam Sandler, cheering on the Green and Gold, and helping anyone that would let him. After closing the chapter on farming, he picked up the “lazy man’s game” and could be found golfing any chance he got. If he wasn’t searching for a lost ball on the golf course, you may have found him thinking up a new design for one of his many inspirational t-shirts or putting up Little Debbies (and talking a lot) at local stores. Above all else, he had a strong faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and loved to share that part of himself with others.
Bob is survived by his wife Martha Elandt, two children: Logan (Brittany) of Madison, Isabella (Thomas) of Appleton; five siblings: Cindy (Forrest) Peterson of Ogdensburg; Richard (Mona) of Weyauwega; Carmen Riebel of Waupaca; Colleen (Jim) Selle of Winneconne; Roger (Susan) of Waupaca; siblings-in-law: Carla (Tom) Santkuyl of Combined Locks; Mark Hemling and John Marrazzo of Royersford, PA; Tom Hemling and Marla Selvidge of Loch Lloyd, MO; Mary (Pete) Losiniecki of Waukesha; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife’s parents, Milton and Janet Hemling, and brothers-in-law Paul Hemling and Pete Gibson.
A Celebration Of Life will be held on Saturday June 14, 2025 at 11 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Weyauwega, WI. A visitation will be held on Friday June 13, 2025 from 4 pm until 8 pm at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI and again at the church on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am.
