Robert E. Lea Jr.'s Obituary
Robert E. Lea Jr., 45, Amherst Junction, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015 following a short but courageous battle with mesothelioma cancer at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Robert was born January 21, 1970, son of Charlotte (Philip) Martin and Robert E. (Carol) Lea Sr. Robert was married to the love of his life, Shawn Mocadlo on May 24, 1997. They have three beautiful children, Nicholas, Jared, and Eden Lea. Robert grew up in Amherst Junction and attended Amherst schools. After graduation in 1988, he attended Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids and a semester at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Robert worked at various jobs after school. He worked for the Waupaca Foundry for 16 years until he started his own excavating and trucking business, Amherst Excavating LLC. Robert was an avid reader, loved firearms, hunting, classic cars, and snowmobiling. He was proud to raise his family on his maternal grandparent’s family farm. Never has there been a more kind, loving, and giving man. We are all better for having had a husband, brother, son, father, and friend like Robert. He was a one of kind and will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his wife Shawn Lea; his children Nicholas, Jared, and Eden Lea; his parents Charlotte (Phil) Martin and Robert E. (Carol) Lea Sr.; siblings Melissa (Justin) Blenker, Roger (Julie) Martin, Bobby (Janelle) Martin, Ryan Martin, Suzy Chopper, Rick (Jill) Martin, Reyn (Tina) Carey, and Randy (Tracey) Carey.
