Robert M. Kizewski's Obituary
Robert M. Kizewski, Amherst, WI was born to eternal life surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, July 4, 2011.
Robert was the first child born to Phillip and Celia (nee Czerwinski) Kizewski on May 17, 1926. He worked on his family’s farm in Rosholt until he was 21 years old when he enlisted in the service and proudly served in the 101st AIRBORNE Division, 516 A.I.R. Company M. On June 29, 1953 Robert married the girl next door, his best friend and love of his life Anna Kulas. They moved to Milwaukee where they raised three children. After 37 years of dedicated service, Robert retired from the Allen-Bradley Company in 1987 where he worked as a punch press operator and Supervisor. In 1988 Robert and Anna moved to Amherst to be close to their aging mothers.
Robert loved God and his family. He enjoyed working with his hands and was known for his detailed woodworking talents. He also liked to fish, work in the yard, and looked forward to visits from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; three children: Cynthia (the late Dr. Allen Hill) Kizewski-Hill, Little Rock, AR., Renee Kizewski, Milwaukee, and Gregory (Joni) Kizewski, Dallas, WI; Six grandchildren: Melissa O’Neil (Fiancée Michael Doda), Daniel (Judith) O’Neil, Nathan Hill, Joseph Hill, Holly Kizewski and Jordan Kizewski; three Great-Grandchildren: Drew, Mackenzie and Richelle; three brothers: Leonard (Dorothy) Kizewski, James Kizewski, Lawrence Kizewski; three sisters: Henrietta (the late James) Stieber, Phyllis (Casimer) Berna and Leona (the late Louis) Ksioszk; one sister-in-law, Caroline Kizewski; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Basil and Harvey (the late Marie), one infant sister, Mary, and two nephews, Mark Stieber and Dean Kizewski.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst. Father Robert Pedretti will officiate, with burial to follow in the St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Rosholt. A visitation will be held on Saturday July 9, 2011 at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass at 11 A.M. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
The family would like to thank Father Robert Pedretti for spiritual support, Ministry Hospice for their care and assistance in fulfilling Robert’s wish of spending his last days at home; and Jim Licari for the special care that helped Robert to be comfortable in his last days.
