Robert Charles Meidam's Obituary
Robert Charles Meidam of Waupaca, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday March 8, 2023. He was born on May 28, 1953 in New London, WI to the late Laurence and Lucille (Hanson) Meidam. Bob grew up on the home farm outside of Bear Creek and graduated from Clintonville High School in 1971. Bob married the love of his life, Suzanna Hernandez on December 16, 1972. Bob was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed time spent in his boat flat head fishing on the Wolf River with his son Bobby and bow hunting with his son Bobby and friend Bobby Boelter. Bob spent most of his life in Waupaca as a mechanic working at Menzels garage in Weyauwega, Bob’s Waupaca Truck and Auto, Hawk Tailer, Trail-et, then retired from L + L Propane.
Bob is survived by his son Robert John; two grandchildren Zoe Meidam and Duke Duquaine; three siblings Dan (Shannon) Meidam, Marlene (Roy) Burton and Michael (Ellen) Meidam and by numerous other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Susie and his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at 3 P.M. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Reverend Dr. Charles Tews will officiate. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2023 from 2P.M. until the time of the service at 3 P.m. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. A Luncheon will follow the service at Schueller's Great Exspechtations in Waupaca.
