Robert L. O'Brien's Obituary
Robert L. O'Brien, age 86, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away on Thursday, March 14th, 2019 at Wild Rose Manor. He was born in Mt. Pulaski, IL on September 28, 1932, a son of the late Kenneth and Esther (Payne) O'Brien. They moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1947.
Robert married Evelyn Behling on June 28, 1952 in Milwaukee. They had two children, James and Susan. He was a machinist at Western Machine Co. in Milwaukee until it closed. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Robert and Evelyn moved to Wild Rose in 1996 to enjoy these hobbies. He especially enjoyed the family and friends that came to their place to deer hunt every year.
Robert is survived by his wife of 66 years: Evelyn O'Brien, Wild Rose, WI; Daughter: Susan (James) Sting, Pigeon, MI; Grandchildren: Brad (Kristin) Baranowski, Waterford, WI; Katie Coudron, Milwaukee, WI; Michael O'Brien, Montello, WI; Deborah (John) Boyer, Easton, PA; Emily (Alex) Buetow, Morton Grove, IL; Daniel (Rachel) Sting, Onalaska, WI; Andrew (Lindsay) Sting, Pigeon, MI; 10 Great Grandchildren; Brother: Carl (Sarah) O'Brien, Milwaukee, WI; Kathleen Alguire, Wild Rose, WI and sisters-in-law, Janet O'Brien and Doris Miszewski. He was preceded in death by his parents, son - James O'Brien, 2 brothers - Kenneth O'Brien and Keith O'Brien, and a sister - Evelyn Heth.
Funeral Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 18th, 2019, with Reverend Joel Suckow, officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Wild Rose, WI. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
