Robert Eugene Stockton's Obituary
Robert Eugene Stockton, age 89, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at Wisconsin Veterans Home.
Robert was born on January 18th, 1926 the son of the late Oliver and Eliza (Stevens) Stockton in Waukon, IA. Robert was a World War II Veteran; he joined the Navy in 1944 as an U.S. Navy Seaman 1st class. Robert was honorable discharged in 1946. He married Mary Ethel Hodge on July 8, 1956 in Jefferson, WI.
Robert worked at Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson and retired in 1989. He was a long time resident of City of Jefferson. For the last 5 years he resided with his wife at WI Veterans home in King.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Stockton of King, WI; 5 children, Roberta (Mike) Curry of Appleton, WI; Mary (Bruce) Ellenbecker of Oshkosh, WI; Edward (Sharon) Stockton of Watts, OK; Marti (Doug) Wilkins of Beloit, WI; Timothy (Torri) Stockton of Ft. Atkinson, WI; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; also many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28th at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Olson Hall Chapel in King. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
