Robert Van Heeswyk's Obituary
Robert P. Van Heeswyk, age 77, of King, WI., formerly of Combined Locks, WI., passed away on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 at Wisconsin Veterans Home-MacArthur Hall, King. He was born in Appleton, WI., on June 28, 1932, a son of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Smaxwell) Van Heeswyk. Robert married Audrey L. Roehrborn on September 6, 1952 in Kaukauna. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his Wife: Audrey Van Heeswyk, Kaukauna, WI; Children: Jan Cardin, Kaukauna, WI; Steve Van Heeswyk, Austin, TX; Grandchildren: Katie Cardin, Mt. Horeb, WI; Rozelle McDonald, New York; Toby McDonald, New York; Great Grandchildren: Chase and Kaylee Doebert, Mt. Horeb, WI; Brothers & Sisters: Ann Dollevoet, Kimberly, WI; John Van Heeswyk, Appleton, WI; Martin Van Heeswyk Jr., Florida; Pat Brown, Kaukauna, WI. and Karen of Chicago, IL. Robert is further survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark Van Heeswyk, brother, George (Sonny) Van Heeswyk, 2 sisters, Mary Effertz and Elizabeth (Betty) Wolfinger. Memorial Services will be held at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel, King, at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 21st, 2009, with Sister Cathy Wottreng, officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, from Noon until the time of the service at the Main Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Robert's name.
