Roberta Ione Cook's Obituary
Roberta Ione Cook, age 84, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Bethany Home. Ione was born in Big Falls, WI on February 19, 1924, the daughter of the late James Peter and Effie (Myers) Hansen. On July 23, 1947, Ione married Kenneth (Bud) O. Cook in King, WI and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1982. Ione is survived by her daughter: Jean Cook of Milwaukee; two grandchildren: Stacci (Todd) Barganz and Ken T. Cook and three great grandchildren: Joseph Barganz, Elizabeth Barganz and Chloe Barganz. Also surviving are a daughter in law, Joanna Cook and her daughter, Sonnie Jo Meier. Ione was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth (Bud), a son, Kenneth John Cook, three brothers and a sister. Per Ione's wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be on Friday, Oct. 17 from 4 to 7 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.
