Ronald J. Trzebiatowski's Obituary
Ronald J. Trzebiatowski, age 82, passed away peacefully at Wellington Place in Whiting with his family by his side on Friday, April 25, 2025. Ron was born March 1943 in Stevens Point, WI; son of the late John and Eleanor (Yenter) Trzebiatowski. Ron graduated from Pacelli Highschool in 1961 and from UW-Superior in 1965. His major was Economics and his fraternity Phi Betta Lambda. After college Ron married Nancy Blarek, the love of his life, on August 14, 1965 in Stevens Point. On February 14, 1966, Ron enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Germersheim, Germany. During that time, Ron was president of the Enlisted Men Council. After Ron was honorably discharged in 1969, he then settled in Rosholt, WI where he and Nancy raised five children and he worked with his father in the family owned and operated business, Trzebiatowski Oil Company for 30 years. Ron and Nancy also owned Treb’s Mini Resort on Pelican Lake for several years. Ron was a volunteer firefighter with the Rosholt Fire Department and a member of the Rosholt Village Board. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was Commander and Adjutant for the American Legion Post 509 in Rosholt. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, family vacations and traveling. In 2018, he flew on the Never Forgotten Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to see the memorials that stand in honor of our veterans. Ron was awarded a Quilt of Valor in 2022 as a veteran who was touched by war and he was honored with a Hometown Hero banner in 2023 and 2024. He was a devoted husband, an amazing Dad, an awesome Papa, a great big brother and so many other things to so many people. Ron was very loved, adored and respected by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Ron is survived by his five children, June Laczkowski of Eau Claire, WI; Jace Trzebiatowski of Galloway, WI; Tammy (Mark) Ferguson of Plover, WI; Dale (Dawn) Trzebiatowski of Polonia, WI; and Travis Trzebiatowski of Stevens Point, WI; seven grandchildren, John, Landra, Aften, Austin, Jesse, Jered and Kendra; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine (Mike Meyer) Trzebiatowski of Santa Fe, NM; Anita (Patrick) Finley of Burlington, WI; four nephews, niece, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Nancy and by his parents, John and Eleanor Trzebiatowski.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Rosholt. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at the church. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
