Rose J. Gunsten's Obituary
Mrs. Rose J. Gunsten, age 89, of Waupaca, passed away Saturday, October 15th, 2005. Rose was born in Lansford, North Dakota on April 1, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Lavicka) Smetana. On Nov 23, 1940, She married Gordon O. Gunsten in Milwaukee . She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Waupaca. Rose worked in Food Service at the Wisconsin Veterans Home for 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family along with baking, cooking and working in her flower garden. She is survived by Daughters: Delores Fredrickson, Waupaca; Estella (Mike) Ryan, Waupaca; Sandy (Gary) Hecker, Weyauwega; Son in law: Patrick Burke of Weyauwega. Sister: Helen Schultz, Washington; Brother: Robert, South Dakota; Grandchildren: Delyse (Kent) Nelson, Waupaca; Dacia Fredrickson, Waupaca; Darand Fredrickson, Waupaca; Gregory (Fiancee' Myra Jannnssen) Burke, Weyauwega; Michelle Burke, Milwaukee; Rick (Jenny) Ryan, Waupaca; Scott (Kari) Ryan, Oshkosh and 6 great grandchildren: Joseph Nelson, Timothy Nelson, Lauren & Braeden Ryan, Amber Rose & Collin Ryan. Rose was preceded in death by her Husband: Gordon on Nov 21, 1967, Daughter: Marilyn Burke, Son in law: Donald Fredrickson along with 7 Brothers and 5 Sisters. Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waupaca, Wisconsin. at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 18th, with Reverend Aaron Winkelman officiating. Interment will be in the Farmington Lutheran Cemetery in the Town Farmington, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Monday 4-7 P.M. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. A memorial fund has been established to the Radio Ministry at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church 1120 Evans Street Waupaca, Wisconsin. 54981. Holly Funeral Home
