Rose M. Myska's Obituary
Rose M. Myska age 86 of Amherst, WI, passed away on Monday July 3 rd , 2023. Rose was born on September 25, 1936, the daughter of Peter and Gertrude (Gawronski) Lorbiecki in the village of Rosholt,
WI. As a child the family moved to Milwaukee where she attended St. Boniface grade school and North Division High School. At age 16, she moved with her family to a farm in the town of Sharon, WI. Two years later, she moved back to Milwaukee where she was employed at John Oster Mfg. Co. for 13 years.
On August 24th , 1957, Rosie married Ernest Myska at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, Rosholt. The couple lived in Milwaukee for 10 years. In 1968, they moved to Pewaukee, WI where they lived for 21 years. Rose was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pewaukee. She was a volunteer room mother at St. Mary's grade school, member and officer of the Christian Women and Alter Society, on the Bingo Committee, and a member of Pewaukee Health Council where she volunteered for blood drives and immunization clinics. At age 52, Rose went to night school where she received her high school diploma from Waukesha County Technical College. In 1989, the retired couple moved to Amherst, WI. Rose was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel, Fancher and a member of the Alter and Rosary Society. Rose was a league bowler for 25 years. She also loved reading, old movies, gardening, occasional trips to the casino, cooking and baking, country music, the Packers and Brewers and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren will always remember baking Christmas cookies with Grandma Rose.
Rose is survived by her son David Myska (Angel Deal) of Waupaca, WI and daughter Mary (Jacob)
Frederickson of Amherst; grandchildren Jonathan (Victoria) Frederickson of Stevens Point, WI and Jenna
Rose Frederickson (Tim Drozd) of Plover, WI and great-grandchildren Trevor Caudle and Margaret Rose Frederickson. Two sisters, Betty Myska, Custer and Joan (Bud) Olson, Minnesota and one brother Peter Lorbiecki Jr., Rosholt. Rose was preceded in death by husband Ernie, grandson Brian Kienast, brother William and sister-in-law Marjorie Lorbiecki, sister-in-law JoAnn Lorbiecki and brother-in-law Tony Myska. Rose had a wonderful sense of humor. Rose was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be sadly missed but alive in our memories forever.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church – Fancher, Amherst, WI. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, July 10th at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will also be held at the Church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
