ROSS E. GREASER
ARBOR VITAE, WISCONSIN
FORMERLY OF AMHERST, WISCONSIN Age 92, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI. Ross was born December 31, 1918 in Vinton, IA; son of the late George and Edna (McKane) Greaser. He moved to Abbotsford, WI as a young boy. He married Nelda Gauerke on July 3, 1950 in Athens, WI. She survives. Ross was a 1937 graduate of Abbotsford High School. He attended Eau Claire College and the University of Hawaii. In 1942, Ross joined the U.S. Army Air Corp – 20th Air Force. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was honorably discharged in February 1946. Ross, along with his wife, owned and operated Ross Service and Marine in Amherst, WI for 33 years. Ross joined the Masonic Lodge in Abbotsford, WI in January 1948 and was a member for over 63 years. He belonged to the Hurley Lodge # 237 in Mercer, WI and the Waupaca Lodge # 123 in Waupaca, WI. Ross enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, watching Packer football and Badger basketball games, and spending time with friends. Ross is survived by:

Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edna Greaser; three sisters, Fern VandeHey, Mary Pacholke; and Thelma as a young girl; and three brothers, Elmer Greaser, George Greaser, and Myron Greaser. A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI. Reverend Brian Iverson will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, March 2, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM. A visitation will also be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst with full military honors following the service on Thursday. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
