Roy Mankowski's Obituary
Roy F Mankowski, age 61, of King, WI., formerly of Wild Rose, passed away on Friday, June 1st, 2007 at Wisconsin Veterans Home-MacArthur Hall, King, while under Hope Hospice Care. He was born in Wild Rose, on February 23, 1946, a son of the late Edward and Helen (Orlos ) Mankowski. Roy graduated from Wild Rose High School in 1964 and joined the Navy in December of 1965 for 4 years and served in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Wautoma and later attended San Antonio College and Barber School. He enjoyed gardening, reading and watching TV. He was never married He is survived by 2 Brothers: Gerald (Nancy) Mankowski, Wautoma, WI; Larry (Kimberly) Mankowski, Wautoma, WI; 2 Sisters: Bernadine (Gerald) Roop, Deer Park, TX; Sally Walkowicz, Medford, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel, King, at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, June 6th, 2007 with Sister Cathy Wottreng officiating. Interment will be in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of the service at the Main Chapel. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
