Sharing a memory of when I was a little girl..my Dad and I went to visit the farm. Somehow we went into the garage and I spotted the antique car with the rumble seat. For some reason I pictured myself and my future husband riding in that rumble seat at our wedding. Wouldn't you know I met the husband of my dreams and called Russell up and asked him if my wish could come true. Well Russell polished up that antique car and he and Doris escorted my husband Don and I from Scandinavia Lutheran to Grand Seasons in Waupaca. I remember we stopped and took Pictures at Brainards Bridge. I think Doris and Russell we're proud as punch to be our chauffeurs. Still have that wedding pic and will never forget Russell's smile.
Sending thoughts and prayers to the family.
A memory I would like to share is when I was a little girl my Dad would take me to the farm and we got to play with Rudy the fawn, and for some reason I got in the garage and saw his antique car and said "One day when I get married me and my husband will ride in the rumble seat of the car after my wedding. When I finally met my man of my dreams I called up Russell and asked him if we could ride from Scandinavia Lutheran Church to Grand Seasons in his car for our Wedding Reception. Well Russell polished up that car and I got my wish. I think Doris and Russell had just as much fun escorting Don and I as we did in the rumble seat. I will treasure the Memory forever. Hugs!
Several years ago, I went up to visit my sister Robin. I seen Russell plowing the field near the farm and never been on a tractor before, I asked Kent if he thought it would be ok if I went down to the field and jump on and take a ride with Russell. Kent took me down there and he waved his Dad over and I went for my first ride on a tractor! I hung out with Russell as he finished up plowing. It is a great memory.
