Russell M. Hoeft age 68 of Amherst passed away on Friday January 17, 2014 at his residence. Russell was born on December 19, 1945 the son of Donald and Marie (Carpenter) Hoeft. Russell married Joy Sands on December 28, 1989. Russell enjoyed Hunting, woodworking, cooking and bird watching. Russell is survived by his wife Joy Hoeft of Amherst, WI; children Scott (Bonnie Soik) Hoeft of Plover, WI, Sarah (Michael) Wright of Oshkosh, WI, and Anne Wojtalewicz of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; grandchildren Kaylee, Payton, and Joey Wright; sisters Rose Marie (Milton) Steinke of Neenah, WI, Genevieve (Llyod) Everson of Pine River, WI, Elaine Fuhrman of Appleton, WI, and Joyce (Vernon) Josie of Manawa, WI; one brother Bruce (Debra) Hoeft of Fremont, WI.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Marie Hoeft and one brother Donald Hoeft.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday January 30, 2014 from 4 -7 P.M. at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst.
