RUSSELL H. SMITH
TOWN OF WAUPACA, WISCONSIN Age 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Iola Living Assistance in Iola, WI. He was born May 14, 1918 in Waupaca, WI; son of Arthur E. and Hazel I. (Rowe) Smith. On September 17, 1939 Russell married Rose Churas in Oshkosh, WI. Russell was a farmer in rural Waupaca all of his life. He had been the President of the Holstein Association and received the Progressive Farmer Award in the 1950’s, and also was President of the Waupaca School Board for 10 years. Russell was a member of the Waupaca Masonic Lodge, Lion’s Club, and the First United Methodist Church in Waupaca. He enjoyed dancing, bowling, deer hunting, playing cards and golf. Russell is survived by:

Sons: Allen Smith of Ogdensburg, WI
Wayne Smith of Ogdensburg, WI
Edward (Mary) Smith of Waupaca, WI
Thirteen Grandchildren
Eleven Great-Grandchildren
Sister: Jeanette (Donald) Sullivan of Oshkosh, WI He was preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Service will be on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Reverend Mike Weigand will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home with an Masonic Service at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca following the services. HOLLY FUNERAL HOME
