I am so sad to hear of Rusty's passing. Having just moved back to the area, I was hoping to see him and speak with him, maybe even pick on him a little bit. That was the kind of relationship we had when I was young and naive. I feel so lucky to have known him and all of his children because they always made me laugh and I so much enjoyed being able to walk through the woods to visit their happy, loving home. Rusty would tell us stories about the war that were terrifying, but enlightening, because he didn't ever sugar coat it. He told us real things about the world and treated us like adults. He was always teasing us, keeping us on our toes, and making us giggle with fun-loving insults and jabs. What a great guy, I only wish it hadn't been so many years since I last saw him. My condolences to the lovely family he raised.
