We became neighbors of Ruth and Bob around 2005 and became fast friends. Ruth was always there for us at the drop of a hat. We had good times gardening and spoiling our cats. When we visited our favorite spot at the kitchen table, she always had her chocolates or potato chips ready to share. When we sat out in their screened in room, she always had a crossword puzzle book and a cat on her lap. Ruth never asked for much, and lived her life for the good of others, wanting others to live their best lives. She would visit the places of "feral" cats and make sure the cats were fed. She visited our local nursing home and visited those who needed some company. She was a solid member of her church. She became our cat sitter when we went on vacations. We always knew Lucy and Desi would be well cared for because when she came over to visit she'd always announce, "Kitties, mama's here!" and would lay on our floor and wait for them to come to her. We're not sure what we'll do without her, and we're certainly thankful for the years she graced us with her love and talents. We will miss Ruth so much, our neighbor and our friend. We'll remember her example of living life for the service of others and all fur babies. Go live your new life with God, my friend, and the rest of your family in heaven. Visit the Rainbow Bridge often to meet up with your many beloved pets. You were the best fur mama ever!
