Ruth M. Durrant's Obituary
Ruth M. Durrant, age 84, of Almond passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at her residence. Ruth was born in the Town of Almond, Portage County on April 25, 1930, the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Schleicher) Pagel. On October 24, 1953 she married Everett Durrant at the United Methodist Church in Almond. She graduated from Almond High School in 1948 and was a school bus driver for over 29 years. She was a member of the Almond Historical Society, the Legion Auxiliary Post #339 and the Almond United Methodist Church. Ruth loved gardening and snowmobiling.
She is survived by her husband: Everett Durrant, Almond; her son: Dale Durrant, Waupaca; her grandchildren: Joe Durrant, Waupaca; Jim Durrant, Waupaca and Eric (Brittanie) Durrant, Waupaca and her great grandchildren: Walker Everett, Kya & Trinity Durrant. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her son Lea.
The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, March 3 at 11 AM at the Almond United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Gregersen, officiating. Burial will be in the East German Methodist Cemetery, Almond. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 4 to 8 PM at Almond United Methodist Church.
