Ruth Newsome's Obituary
Ruth L Newsome, age 86, of Waupaca, WI passed away Monday, April 30, 2007 at Appleton Medical Center. Ruth was born in Town of Little Wolf, Waupaca County, WI on August 10, 1920, the daughter of the late Fred C. and Nora A. (Miller) Oppor. On April 3, 1948, Ruth marrried Howard W. Newsome in Rio, WI and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1994.
Ruth is survived by her sons: Olyn Smith of Missouri; William (Sandy) Smith of Oshkosh; Lee Newsome of Waupaca and Glen (Tina) Newsome of Waupaca. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a sister: Ethel Visser, of Sheboygan, WI. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard, her sister, Margaret Nemmetz and her brother, Frederick Oppor. Graveside Services will be on Friday, May 4 at 10:30 AM at Crystal Lake Cemetery with Jeffrey Fletcher, officiating. Holly Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
