Sarah Martin's Obituary
Sarah C. (Sally) Martin, age 87, of Waupaca, WI, died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Crystal River Nursing & Rehab. Center, Waupaca, WI, where she was a resident. Sarah was born in the Town of Little Wolf, Waupaca County, WI on August 27, 1917, the daughter of the late Reuben and Sarah (Clapps) Peterson. On February 26, 1938 Sarah married Thomas Martin in Shawano, WI. He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1980. She is survived by her daughters: Shirley (LaVern) Cady, Iola, WI; Darlene (Allen) Anderson, Tigerton, WI; Eight Grandchildren; Fourteen Great Grandchildren; Two Great Great Grandchildren; a Sister: Bonnie Grulke, Fort McCoy, Florida. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, three brothers, Reuben, Charles and Lawrence Peterson and three sisters, Ruth Handrich, Claire McGlin and Murial Wereth. The Funeral Service will be held at Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, WI at 11 AM on Friday, April 1, 2005 with Reverend Sean Motley officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Big Falls Cemetery, Town of Wyoming, Wisconsin. Visitation will be Friday 10-11 AM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.
