Scot P. Martin's Obituary
Scot Patrick Martin, age 65, of Amherst Jct., WI, passed away on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 peacefully at his residence. He was born in Stevens Point, WI on April 28, 1960, a son of Roland and Carole (Knudtson) Martin. He grew up in Stevens Point and Graduated from Stevens Point Area High School in 1979. He loved sports and especially enjoyed running and hockey.
After school, Scot followed his father's love of photography and started his 27-year career at Colorcraft Inc. which later became Qualex Photofinishing. As times changed, he went on to be Production Manager at JHL for 17 years until his retirement.
He married the love of his life, Julie Chojnacki on April 30, 1988 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Together they raised three beautiful children, Trevor, Tyler, and Kassidy, as well as their dear niece, Veronica. His family was always his first priority and he spent countless hours with them in the great outdoors and at school activities.
Scot was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, gardening, and hobby farming; all with his family by his side. He cherished all the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. He taught them all about the beauty in life, just as he was taught when his father was Scoutmaster at Troop 298 in Stevens Point.
Scot earned Scouting's highest award as Eagle Scout on September 22, 1975. Throughout the years, he watched his two sons grow and become Eagles as well. He served others as Scoutmaster of Troop 296 of Amherst for 22 years from 1999 to 2021, leading many scouts to achieve Eagle Scout status as well. He helped countless young men to appreciate the outdoors, learn important life skills, help others, and do a good turn daily.
