Scott Dean Christie, age 36, was born on July 20th, 1969, in Wild Rose Memorial Hospital. He was the second son of three born to Richard and Sherry Christie.
Scott passed away suddenly on November 10th, 2005, due to a tragic accident while on a job site in Milwaukee. In June of 1987, Scott graduated from Wild Rose High School. He then joined the U.S. Air Force in April of 1988 and was stationed at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base for approximately three years. For the past ten years, Scott worked as a foreman for Hoffman Construction Company. He was currently residing in Westby, WI, with his sweetheart Andrea. Sports were his passion, especially football. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan. Spending time on his boat, playing golf, and camping were other hobbies he enjoyed. Time with family was especially important to Scott. Playing games and enjoying a cold one with his brothers were moments that he cherished. Spoiling his nephews and nieces was also a priority for him. Always the life of the party, his humor and wit will be sadly missed.
Scott is survived by his parents, Richard and Sherry Christie of Waupaca; significant other, Andrea Cade of Westby; two brothers, Jeff (Jodee Stiver) Christie of Appleton and Greg (Katie) Christie of Appleton; grandmother, Violet Christie of Waupaca; grandfather, Robert Juday of Hancock; two nephews, Zachary Christie and Jack Gerrits; two nieces, Kayla Gerrits and Johanna Christie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His grandfather, Melvin Christie, and grandmother, Lillian Juday, preceded him in death.
A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, and on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Dopp Cemetery near Wild Rose. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in memory of Scott Christie. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
