Scott Morey's Obituary
Scott B. Morey, age 56, of Iola, WI., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 28th, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Chicago, IL., on May 27, 1954, a son of the late Donald S. and Jean (Hathaway) Morey. Scott married Deborah Ann Zielinski on November 30, 1975 in Chicago. He served in the U.S. Army. Scott worked as the Site Director for the Veterans Assistance Program at the Ove Center in King. He was an avid hunter and Civil War collector. Scott was also an avid movie critic. Survivors include his Wife: Deborah Morey, Iola, WI; Mother: Jean Morey, Waupaca, WI; Brother: Larry (Charmaine) Morey, Hoffman Estates, IL; Sister-in-law: Peggy Morey, Plover, WI; Mother-in-law: Eleanor Zielinski, Chicago, IL; Brother-in-law: James Zielinski, Chicago, IL; Nieces: Deborah Morey-Barger, Plover, WI; Dawn (Duane) Wanta, Marshfield, WI; Danielle (Brad) Faldet, Waupaca, WI; Great Nieces & Nephews: Jacob & Jenna Wanta; Stenson, Mason & Madyson Faldet; Beloved dog and boy: Odie. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald S. Morey, a brother, Donald H. Morey and his father-in-law, Frank Zielinski. Funeral Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 11 AM on Friday, March 4th, 2011, with Deborah Morey-Barger officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co., WI. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Scott B. Morey.
