Sebastian J. Giordano's Obituary
Sebastian Joseph Giordano, age 88, passed away Monday February 23, 2026 at Ruby Commons in Brookfield Wisconsin, with his loving family at his side. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Ruby Commons and Brighton Hospice as well as Joyce “neighbor lady”, for the care they showed our dad.
Seb or Busty to many was born on December 29, 1937 in West Allis, Wisconsin, son of the late Salvatore and Carmella (Caravella) Giordano. Sebastian attended West Allis Central High School and began his career as a painter before joining the City of Brookfield Fire Department, where he served 26 years as a firefighter and fire inspector. After retiring, he owned Seb Motors, “home of the finest pre-owned automobiles”.
His family was his pride and joy. He showed unconditional love and never missed a chance to say, “I Love You” and “Thank you for all that you do”. An active member of Retired Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin, past member of South Shore Yacht Club, and Neshkoro Lions Club. Seb's approach to life made you want to be with him wherever he was, West Allis, Las Vegas, Florida or at the lake in Neshkoro.
Seb’s passion for buying and selling made life interesting- in his world, everything was for sale. He enjoyed cars, boats, cooking, auctions, watching the birds and feeding the fish. But most of all he cherished time with others. He always did things “My Way.”
He is now with Salvatore and Carmella, his children, watching over us all and his legacy will carry on forever through his loving family and devoted friends.
Salute!
Seb is survived by his children; Verna (Guy) Shavlik, Maria (Tim) Broerman, Emil Giordano, Son in Law; Brian Schmidt, Grandchildren; Cassidy (Ryan) Sommer, Brady (Becah) Schmidt, Isabelle Shavlik, Anthony Giordano, Abigail Giordano, Christopher Bitz, Joseph Bitz, Carmella Broerman and Charlie Broerman. Great Grandchildren; William Sommer, Catherine Sommer and Arthur Sommer. Sister Josephine (Giordano) Hardwick.
A private family burial will be held at Saint Mary Magdalene Cemetery Waupaca, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to Neshkoro Fire & Protection Service, 610 S. Main Street, Neshkoro, WI 54960.
