Sharon R. Peterson's Obituary
Sharon Rose Peterson, age 82, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Theda Care Medical Center-Waupaca. Sharon was born in Appleton, WI on August 5, 1934, the daughter of the late Fritz and Lydia (Reim) Ramthum. On November 24, 1956, Sharon married John Peterson at 1st United Methodist Church in Waupaca. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, gardening, canning pickles, making jam, camping and caring for her dogs. She is a member of Parfreyville United Methodist Church, Waupaca. Sharon is survived by her husband: John Peterson Sr, Waupaca; her children: Lori (Andy) Rhead, Roscoe, IL; Connie Peterson, Waupaca and John (Kathy) Peterson Jr., Waupaca; her grandchildren: Amber (Mike) Winfree, Sarah (Dan Doerflinger) Spradlin, Lindsey Rhead and Heidi & Anita Solchenberger; her great grandchildren: Kelsey, Bradley, Landen, Abbey, Evan & Natalie; her sister: Joyce Miller, Rosemont, MN; her brother: Fred Ramthum, Lemon Grove, CA and her sister-in-law: Nancy (Darrell) Holman. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Paul Ramthum and a sister, Carol Olson. The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, March 4 at 1 PM at Parfreyville United Methodist Church, Waupaca with Reverend Eric Taylor, officiating. Burial will be later in the spring at Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12 PM to 1 PM at the church.
