She attended St. Joseph’s School in Addison, IL, until she and her family moved to a farm in Grand Marsh, WI. Sheryl was a Brownie, a girl scout, enjoyed ice skating, and had a total love for horses. She finished out her grade school years at the old Lincoln School in Lincoln Township (Grand Marsh), and then attended Adams-Friendship High School. She was involved in FFA and was a Wrestling cheerleader. She graduated Adams-Friendship High School in 1981 and within a year enlisted in the Army Military Police (MP) stationed in Fort Hood, TX. When they were discharged from the Army they moved to Michigan where they made their home for a short while. From this marriage they were blessed with two sons. Cory was born in Michigan in 1992, and shortly after his birth the three moved to Wisconsin. Their second son Jesse was born in 1994 in Wisconsin. Sheryl and Michael’s marriage continued for 17 years, until they parted in 2003, but remained friends. Sheryl worked in the office as a bookkeeper for the past six years for Mortenson’s Farms in Plainfield. She truly enjoyed her job, and the people she worked with, calling them her extended family. Sheryl enjoyed cooking, having parties with family and friends, and she was an avid Packer fan. She met Gary Meyer of Plainfield in 2001, and after dating for some time Sheryl and Gary were engaged on Christmas Eve of 2008. They made their home together in Wild Rose along with Sheryl’s sons, Cory and Jesse, and Gary’s son, Austin.
