Shirley A. Wrolstad's Obituary
Shirley Ann Wrolstad, age 77, of Waupaca, WI passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008 in Middleton at the home of her son. Shirley was born in Iola, WI on April 10, 1931, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Fern (Egeland) Moen. On March 2, 1968, Shirley married Richard Wrolstad at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1988. Shirley worked for many years at the Mead Hotel & Restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids. She retired in 1999 and returned to live in Waupaca. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and active in several activities at church. Shirley is survived by her children: Gary Wrolstad of Middleton, WI; Lisa (Bruce) Truesdell of Stafford, VA and Nina (Patrick) Swanson of Omaha, NE; 4 Grandchildren: Jamie Wrolstad, Navida Joy, Teigen & Kjersti Swanson; 4 Great Grandchildren: Aryona Truesdell, Constance Joy, Kylah Wrolstad and Korrie Joy; her sister: Audrey (Bob) Fulkerson of Denver, CO; her brother: Layner (Reva) Moen of Waupaca and her sister-in-law: June Westland, California. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Richard and a brother 1st Lt. Junior Moen. Memorial Service will be on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 4 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Reverend Jennifer DeNetz, officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. A memorial visitation will be on Saturday from 3 - 4 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Estabrook Cancer Center in Omaha, NE, Ovarian Cancer Coalition, American Cancer Society or Trinity Lutheran Church in Shirley's name.
