Shirley Anderson's Obituary
Shirley J. Anderson, age 82, of Weyauwega, formerly of Waupaca and Neenah, passed away on Sunday, April 24th, 2005 at Weyauwega Health Care Center. She was born in Town of Lind, Waupaca Co., WI. on October 23, 1922, a daughter of the late Alfred and Olena (Nielsen) Anderson. She graduated from Waupaca High School. Shirley worked in paper mills and an insurance agency in Neenah and also at the airport in Oshkosh. She was a former member and president of the Valley Business and Professional Women's Club. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, the Green Bay Packers and helping others. Survivors include 2 sisters: Dorothy Youngson, Waupaca; Ruth Geldernick, Neenah; a brother: Arlington (Meroe) Anderson, Fond du Lac; 2 brothers-in-law - Dan Strommel, Menasha and Gordon Larsen, Waupaca. She is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters - Anita Anderson, Ansonia Stommel and Cleo Larsen and a niece and 2 nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 30th, with Reverend Dr. Charles Tews officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery in Waupaca. Friends and relatives may call on Saturday from 12:00 (Noon) until the time of service at the funeral home.
