Shirley M. (Borgen) Trinrud
King, WI (formerly of Amherst, WI) age 83 – passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, WI. She was born on August 20, 1929 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Sherman and Esther (Olson) Borgen. She married Kenneth Trinrud on May 28, 1949 in Amherst.
Shirley is survived by her husband: Kenneth, son: Richard (Marilyn Field) Trinrud of Rock Island, IL, daughter: Tara Trinrud Augustine of St. Petersburg, FL, three grandchildren: Megan Trinrud, Nathaniel Trinrud, and Anthony Augustine, sisters: Nancy (Harlan) Stienke, Elizabeth (Jack) Pazen, and Mary Miller, and a brother: Jerome (Rosemary) Borgen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
Shirley was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst for many years. She was an avid reader, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM, with Reverend Dwight Anderson – Peace Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery in Scandinavia, WI. A visitation will be held at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
