Shirley B. Thompson's Obituary
Shirley B. Thompson, age 86 of Pine River, WI passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Park Vista in Waupaca. Shirley was born on July 17, 1939 in the Town of Dayton, Portage County, WI. She was the youngest child of five to Clifford and Hazel (Testin) Caldwell. On September 24, 1965 she married O. Edward Thompson of Pine River, WI. Together they have three wonderful children – Jane (Judd “the favorite son-in-law”) Blau; Anne (Jim “the favorite son-in-law”) Emerson; and John (Nikki “the good daughter”) Thompson; six grandchildren – Justin, Emma & Jack Blau; Gracie & Lidia Thompson and Isabelle Emerson and two sisters, Arlene Caldwell and Linda Forseth. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and two older brothers, Columbus and Jimmy Caldwell.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
