Sonja F. Olson's Obituary
Sonja F. Olson, age 76, of Amherst, WI, passed away on Sunday, July 31st, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born in Stevens Point, WI on November 19, 1939 a daughter of the late Lawrence and Lorraine (Stenson) Krogwold. Sonja married G. Harvey Olson on November 15, 1958.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst and a member of the Tomorrow River Lioness Club. Sonja was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Sonja and her husband, Harvey, owned and operated OK Hardware in Amherst for many years. For the past nineteen years, she enjoyed spending parts of her winters in Needles, CA.
Survivors include her Husband: Harvey Olson, Amherst; Sons: Mark (Maxeen) Olson, Amherst; Terry Olson, Minneapolis, MN; Grandchildren: Tim (Krista), Paul (Jenna), Hannah, Grace, Brennan and Anna Olson; Great Grandchildren: Tristan, Kai, Norah, Isaiah and Isaac Olson; Brothers: Lonnie (Jo) Krogwold, Amherst, Jon (Susan) Krogwold, Amherst, Brian (Linda) Krogwold, Amherst, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three infant brothers, and an infant niece.
Funeral Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst at 11 AM on Monday, August 8th, 2016, with Reverend Dwight Anderson, officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 4 until 6 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst and on Monday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church.
