Stanley Salter's Obituary
Stanley E. Salter, age 81, of Waupaca, WI , died Sunday, August 7th, 2005 at Riverside Medical Center. Stan was born in Amherst, Wisconsin on August 10, 1923, he was the son of the late Stanley W. and Gleora (Quinn) Salter. On Aug 25, 1942, he married Bette F. (Burns) Salter in Waupaca, She preceded him in death on April 13, 2001. Stan served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked for Madison Silo Company for over 30 years. After retirement, he drove cars for Neuville Motors for 20 years. He enjoyed walking the streets in the City of Waupaca, fishing in Canada for over 25 years, and liked watching baseball and other sports on television. Stan also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by Daughters: Judy (David) Hess, Kamuela, Hawaii; Sandra (Special Friend: Bob Ebben) Conradt, Pickerel, WI; Susan (Craig) Quimby, Mellen, WI; 8-Grandchildren 19- Great Grandchildren. Brother: Glenn (Lucille) Salter, Waupaca; Brother in law: Tim Loughrin, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Stan was preceded in death by his wife: Bette (Burns) Salter, daughter, Nancy Morse; son in law, Ron Conradt; Two brothers: Kenneth & Bobby Salter and sister: Carolyn Loughrin. Memorial Mass at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 11th, with Father Bert Samsa officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery Waupaca, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held on Thursday 9:30-11:00 A.M. at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church-Weyauwega. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
