Steven A. Scholten, age 65, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on the night of October 12, 2014. Loving husband of Lori and together they raised three wonderful boys Jeremy, 21, Ryan, 20, and Joshua, 19.
Steve was a Member of Operating Engineers Local 139 since 1975. He took great pride in his work and recently retired.
Steve did not wish to have a memorial service. Please remember him by doing the things he loved.
Watch your kids play sports whenever you can. Give them a good foundation and support them no matter what.
If you have dogs, go out and take them for a walk, give them extra treats, and share your cheese and crackers with them.
If you have a motorcycle ride, ride, ride, go as many places you can on two wheels.
Spend time outside. Cut the grass, garden, split wood, and wash your vehicle….. then wash it again just like Steve did.
Make Sunday snack night with your family. Cheese and crackers, chips and salsa, doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just spend time with your family.
Steve was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could. So remember him by lending a hand to anybody you can.
On his last days he was surrounded by family and close friends that loved him.
The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst assisting the family with arrangements.
